Well, that was definitely an interesting day at work today. Didn't even know I was running up to Glenwood Springs until I got to work, brought a support vehicle up and as I was meeting up with my co-worker to whom I was bringing the support vehicle up for, the highway got closed going back towards work, since he was looking for food and I was too, I suggested we just meet at the yard and go get dinner together and that's what we did. That was fun, a nice meal with a fun co-worker. Afterwards, he went to his hotel for the night and I brought the bus back down to the main yard.

Our highway department is forever pulling boneheaded stunts. (in my opinion, anyway) Picture this: A fifteen mile route...a two lane highway...three huge construction projects going on at the same time...dump trucks and wide loads all over the place...an elementary school drop off point, to catch buses to another campus...traffic is horrible and if, by some strange quirk of faith, no one gets in an accident, time to traverse that fifteen mile route is a full 45 minutes.
