Juniper Yes, indeed; "no call/no shows" were the worst at one place of employ. Everyone was shift-working and like you mentioned, when a person didn't show up, it really caused problems. I've had an awful lot of different jobs in my life. Some I liked and some I didn't like. One job that I "sorta" liked was driving an amphibious vehicle in the marshes south of New Orleans. I transported supplies, people, and pretty much anything needed, from a river, across the marshes, to a highway. I got to run a pretty cool piece of machinery, saw lots of wildlife and met interesting people BUT the insects were horrible. Mosquitoes, gnats, horse and deer flies, flies that looked like a common house fly that would bite and almost impossible to swat. I got a little relief in the winter, but the warm months were awful. |

Date: 6/30/2023 3:42:00 AM From Authorid: 54570 The worst part of my job. I work farm maintaince on hog houses. when the drain lines get blocked from thick manure or a carcass hung up in them I am the one they send to clean them out and get the barns draining again. Luckily the facilities have showers so I am afforded some relief in the afternoon. IN the summer or heat it is ten times worse to clean. |

That's unique Joe. I bet those showers are nice when you need them. That's legitimately a job I don't think I could ever do. LOL Larry yeah, that makes our difficult times far less taxing. Thanks for the responses ~Juniper |

Date: 7/18/2023 11:09:00 PM From Authorid: 64942 I had a floral delivery job I love, but my boss was very young and immature, and she was sleeping with one of the employees and would ask me to give him hours so she could be around him. |
