Ginger I enjoyed your telling. Now that I am getting older, I can appreciate loneliness, better. A few years ago, an elderly gentleman kept ringing our phone (before cell phones) and asking for his daughter. At first, we were bothered by his constant calling, but after a while, if I wasn't real busy, I'd stay on the line and talk. Of course, I told the man that I was not his son-in-law, numerous times, but that didn't phase him and he would just keep on talking. We eventually found out that the fellow lived about a mile away from our home. When I went home to visit my folks, one day, I told them about the guy and my mother said, "Pop and I have you all to call and talk to. Some people don't have anybody." She also said that I was a good boy. Kids like hearing that from their parents. Write on..... |

It was your dad in an alternate timeline. When he dialed you (the other you, not this you), there was a quantum event with the communications. Lines crossed, and he got the wrong "you." Joking aside, that's pretty nuts and I think coincidental things do occur quite frequently. I eagerly await the explorations of the science community to see if there's any sort of rational explanation that we'll find in our lifetime. Part of me hopes not |
