Memorable Moments

I was thinking about a call I had when I first started working as a dispatcher/customer service rep at my work. I had a sweet old man call who was trying to make it up to Fort Collins, CO, and to Colorado Springs, CO for a final time to see his kids, he was very sick and I could tell over the phone he was. To this day I don't know why this call sticks out to me the most, maybe it's because I'm an empath, who knows. I just hope the information I gave him helped him see his kids. The only call I ever had to keep myself from crying while on the phone.

What is one of your most memorable moments from any point in your life? ~Juniper

Date: 6/26/2023 5:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Juniper Welcome to USM! Just a couple of days ago, I had what I consider to be a very memorable moment. I got a call from a classmate about getting a group together to plan a class reunion. So I said I'd be there. Traveled 150miles to my home town and got there early at the place of the meeting and watched classmates file into the room. Some of them, I had not seen in fifty-three years. It was so heavy! I was literally "on cloud nine" for the whole two hours. All total, fouteen souls showed up, we got the reunion planned and everyone left with a smile on their face. Especially, me. Write on.....

Date: 6/26/2023 5:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    Kronk reminded me of my high school days….. I had a good friend from high school though we never dated she became like a sister to me . Well, come graduation from high school we both went our separate ways in life and eventually lost contact with one another. 10 years later, I get a phone call out of the blue, and mind you, this was in the late eighties and the internet wasn’t born yet.

Me: “ Hello!”

Her:” And just where in the “ HECK” were you?”

Me: “ Huh? Who is this?”

Her: “ It’s ( her name ) and why didn’t you show up at the ten year high school reunion?”

Me: …… struggling for an excuse after being caught off guard)

Her : “ Well you wrote in my yearbook that we would meet again at the ten year reunion and YOU weren’t there!”

Needless to say, she is and always has been family to me since then, and we still try and meet up once a year.

Date: 6/27/2023 2:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry I enjoyed your flashback. I did make our ten year class reunion, but missed the next four. I'm going to do everything possible to make the one coming
up. In fact, at the planning meeting, one of my girl classmates went on about how happy she was that she'd caught up with me, after all the years.
Made me feel so "wanted."

"L.D."---Ha! You owed her forty bucks!

kronk---That's the last time I'm bringing you with me, anywhere.

"L.D."---hehehe....
