In the United States there are over 40,000 sets of remains that are Unidentified..

This is Males & Females combined..

Even though there have been advances in the tools used to Identify John & Jane Doe's the numbers are just over whelming..

Mja has learned the best web-sites to use to Investigate John & Jane Doe Cases are :

2...NamUs

3...State Police Web-Sites

Even though this is our best system there still are some major draw-backs..

1.. The Doe Network enters cases a few years after their discovery..

The cases have to be so old before they are entered..

2.. NamUs is & can be in real time but there are so many Cases that the NamUs Data Bank enteries are behind..

3.. State Police Web-Sites sometimes dont enter every case in their State..

This is the best system we have at this time & the system needs to improve..

In my opinion these 3 systems need to be up-dated to make case enteries in real time..

In most Cases when a John or Jane Doe are discovered they are usually victims of a Homicide..

In return if you dont know the Victims name or know where they are from its hard to solve their Murder..

Meaning 10's of thousands of People are getting away with Murder..
