Heart and Soul  Hello there! I don't think that we're that close to the end times, myself. I do think that we still live in the best place in the world. (That is assuming that you are in the USA and is certainly debatable.) BUT...I also believe we have "serious" issues going on, these days. Hate, resentment, lake of respect, greed, slothfulness, just to name a few. Of course, who am I to say such a thing. Just an opinion, and everybody's got one.  Take care of you and write on....  |

How am I doing? As good as anybody my age can be expected to be doing, I suppose. The cost of living continues to skyrocket and the idea of starting a family seems more daunting each passing day. I pay near $2000/month rent for a 1 bedroom and housing prices continue to outpace any meagre increase in wages I could ever hope to obtain. It's really difficult and there doesn't seem to be any will, political or otherwise, to do anything about it. If you're rich, things have never been better. If you're middle and/or working class, things haven't been this hard in a long while. I don't think we are near the "end of this world" but I certainly don't think these are the best of times either. I fear most of the Western world, or perhaps the entire world, has devolved into a plutocracy.  |

This is very thought-provoking. I am doing well, any day I wake up 6 feet above ground is a good day, even with the challenges I face daily. As far as the second question, There are definitely trying times, I don't know if it means the world is coming to an end or not, but with the recovery from the pandemic, some may say that god is coming back. I personally am not a very religious girl, I do go to a synagogue that I have found to be home and am working towards studying Jewish views.
I don't know if this is god returning, or if it's just our world getting angry at us. I do feel that our world is in a downslope or even a recession, but I am hopeful that the future will bring new and exciting days ahead. I personally have been experiencing challenges in my life, mostly due to being transgender, though it is more accepted now than it was say even 5 years ago, we still have our struggles in our community. Financially things are holding steady for me, but I was definitely getting concerned for a good portion of time after things started improving after the pandemic. ~Juniper |
