Stank ................... By: Scarecrow76

Bailey walks around like she's free of the leash.
I guess it's because I just follow and zone out while she leads.
She likes taking new routes and smelling new smells on the streets.
But there are times when those smells and she's not so sweet.
When she does "stank".
When she makes "stank"
Looks at me like "Daddy, rev up the car, I just crapped in their yard."
Stank.

Bailey likes different streets so she doesn't get caught.
Later after her disasters or at least that's my thought.
She likes to tare off when her business is done.
It's the philosophical question, did she hurt anyone.
When she runs from the "stank".
Like taking money from the bank.
Looks at me like "Daddy, crank up the dang car, I just crapped in their yard."
Stank.

Bailey likes to be the big dog and that's what she'll be.
When the biggest dogs get close to her and me.
She picks that fight and leaves me to fight on alone.
She's a little spit fire that tends to beat me home.
When she runs from the "stank".
Like taking money from the bank.
Looks at me like "Daddy, rev up the dang car, I just crapped in their yard."
Stank.

((OK, I know a few of you are going to look at this and think "my goodness Scarecrow76 has hit an all new low and completely run out of things to write about. Writing about his dog's bowel movements" But you're wrong! She is my wife's dog and I write about worse LOL. I just wrote this about my wife's chihuahua because everytime she does her business she runs like an Olympic sprinter. Mainly my fault for encouraging her. She used to be so ashamed when she did it and acted like she was in trouble until I made a big deal of it with positive reinforcement. Now she looks forward to our walks so she can "run away from the stank". I do zone out sometimes though and sometimes she picks bad places to do what she must do and looks at me like we need to make a quick getaway. Hey at least they know she came a-calling until I come back later with a baggy. Wow, I think this author's note is longer than the post, sheesh I'm old!>

he finishes, he runs off and I have to try and catch him again. Sometimes he keeps me out in the boonies for hours. Loved the words, man. I "can"
relate. Write on.....

You're the one who started this fight now fight it!". Oh well though. They win our hearts and get our arses kicked but what can we do but love them? Thank you so much for the comment.
