Hey Larry I would always accept, or pick up, a business card. AS in your post, the ones I never planned on ever using would get tacked to "the tree." "L.D."---I remember, "the tree." It was a "china berry" tree, wasn't it?---------Yo, man! What'd you do, fall asleep, or something? Spit it out, why doncha'! kronk---I'll continue in my next comment. "L.D."---What? |

Hey Larry "L.D." here: I'm sorry about that. kronk is not himself, on at least six days a week and on most Sundays, also. kronk---Do I know you?....OUCH! Oh, I remember know. You're "the dog." "L.D."---You ended your previous post with an incomplete thought. How about shedding a little light on the subject, please. kronk---What subject? "L.D."---THE TREE! You mentioned a tree! What about the tree? You know, the tree you tacked the useless business cards to. kronk---You're referring to the "china berry" tree? Why didn't you say so? "L.D."---Ugh! I'm about to bite you, again! kronk---I can't think straight. I'll have to get back with you in my next comment.-----OUCH! |
Date: 3/4/2023 5:06:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 Sorry Hekler, I retired from the door to door sales quite some time ago. BTW, how’s that alchemy kit I sold you doing? Manage to turn manufacture your own gold yet? |
Date: 3/4/2023 5:07:00 AM From Authorid: 21435 Hekler Man, I can't seem to function, correctly. I believe that "they" are out to get me!...OUCH! |
Date: 3/4/2023 5:08:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 L.D., are trees of any use to canines? You know, like a fire hydrant if you get my meaning. |

Hey Larry "L.D." here: There was a time when trees were indeed, a dog's best friend. I mean, for millions of years, there was nothing but trees, rocks and other animals. You had to be careful about "going" on another animal, though. Sometimes, a dog could get away with "going" on a sleeping mastodon, or a turtle, maybe, but it was never a good idea to go on a cave bear or a dire wolf. These days, a tree is still nice, but there are so many options available that we can "go" just about anywhere. |

Hey Larry Sorry about dragging out my telling through several comments, but I woke up with a terrible headache this morning. "L.D."---Don't fall for his sob story, Hey Larry. He was out boozing all yesterday evening. Mrs. Kronk had to go pick him up in the parking lot of "The Tarnished Chicken" at 0300 this morning. kronk---Ugh! Excuse me, please. I have to go vomit, again. "L.D."---hehehe |

Date: 3/4/2023 3:52:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 Hey Larry After what I've seen of U.S. politics in the last few years; all I can say is, "line `em up and I'll drink plenty of water." |

Hey Larry I'm feeling so much better, now. I believe that I'm able to continue with comment...All the useless business cards I collected were pinned to a china berry, about three hundred yards out from my back door. Using a high powered rifle and iron sights, I'd shoot the letters out of the business cards. "L.D."---HA!!! What a liar! Hey Larry, there was indeed a china berry tree with business cards pinned all over it, BUT, it was not three hundred yards away. The tree with the cards was, in fact, fifteen feet out and there were so many business cards that a body would have to be blind not to hit one at such close range. kronk---I think I'll find myself a dog that can't talk. "L.D."---Try that and I'll sue you for breach of contract. kronk---Ugh! |

Hekler I feel the same way, brother. I thought about going "off the grid," but I'm not sure I could make it without indoor plumbing. I'm degenerating terribly. There was a time when all I needed was an old "Sears & Roebuck" catalog. We MUST keep the faith. |
