How’s this for irony?

Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Alaska said a wandering pig that "looked cold" at the side of a road got a lift home in a patrol cruiser.

The Anchorage Police Department posted a photo to Facebook showing the pet pig riding in the back of one of the department's patrol cruisers in Fairview.

"We got a call from a concerned citizen regarding a pig in Fairview, standing on the side of the road, who 'looked cold,'" the Facebook post reads. "We're all familiar with refrigerated bacon, we just never thought we'd respond to a call for service related to that topic."

Police wrote the "portly dude was quite friendly."

Officers were able to identify the owners of the pig, named Elvis Pigsley, and the pet was returned home.

...it's a personality quirk.

Date: 2/20/2023 4:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry I do commend "the police" for taking pity on a poor freezing animal.

"L.D."---Yeah, that's cool. I would have picked up that pig, also.

kronk---How could you pickup a freezing pig? You can't even drive.

"L.D."---I could have picked up that pig and hauled him to a nearby cave, built a fire and then had dinner.

kronk---Wait a minute...Are you talking about saving the pig, or eating it?

"L.D.---Why, saving it and then eating it, of course. I mean, who would miss another Elvis impersonating swine, anyway?

kronk---Ugh!

Date: 2/20/2023 5:33:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    You really have to appreciate L.D. and his ability to read the scene and offer a solution. Has he ver considered a career in politics?
Date: 2/21/2023 5:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry Thing about our boy, "L.D." is he's unearthly practical. About the only leader that I could think of that "L.D." might turn out to be like, would be
Joseph Stalin, or possibly, Horatio Alger.

"L.D."---"Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything." (J. Stalin)....

"The candidate was required to prepare himself by confession, fasting and passing the night in prayer." (H. Alger)

"Ain't but one way out baby, Lord I just can't go out that door!" (The Allman Brothers Band)

kronk---Ugh!
