Celtic Princess....I remember, I made a mistake on my job, on day. I tried my best, but in the end things went wrong. I was emotionally crushed and wanted to quit the job and completely withdraw to somewhere that I thought would make happier. I did pretty much the same as you; went a couple of days, locked up in a room and I wouldn't come out until my mother-in-law (bless her soul) banged on the door and shouted ;"You can't stay in there forever! C'mon out and you and me will go walking in the sunshine and we'll both feel better, for it." You can do it, lady. Take care of you. |

It's been a very challenging week for me at work as well. I was extremely anxious - more anxious than I think I've ever been. My job stress was killing me. I had to call in sick twice. I even wrote my letter of resignation. Ultimately, I talked to my boss and I'm going to stick around for now. Remember, you are not your job. Your job does not define you. No job is worth your health. Also, what is it about your job that is troubling you? Is this something that you can talk about with your boss and have addressed? For the next couple of hours try really hard to put that job out of your head. Now try to do just one thing that brings you some joy. Start by stepping outside and take 10 deep breaths (yep, even if its cold outside). Now put on some music that you love, maybe eat something you haven't had for a long time. Go take a relaxing shower or bath. Even though they seem like such insignificant things, each of your senses will light up and help you to drive the funk away so you can make better decisions. Yes, call a hot line too. Being able to talk things out is very important !!! |

I rang to speak to my doctor..had to wait 2 days to get in to see him but when I did, he was wonderful....Just to be able to talk things out with someone other than family was great for me. I wish you all the best dear and hope you can get some help.. |

I use a generic brand of Prozac to help me sometimes. I really hope things improve for you. Dealing with that kind of awful mental health is awful. Get well soon. -hugs.- |
