...I have dreams like that too, few and far between, where I'm being chased/followed by something. I start off in a familiar place but as the dream progresses, all the familiar landmarks disappear and you are running through a foreign technicolor land. I guess you know the confusion and fear that happen when this happens and will try to piece together and make sense of the dream when you jerk to wakefulness. |

Chris Crazy stuff, indeed. But, that's how nightmares are. I would worry over much about it, unless, it's one of those re-occurring nightmares. Those can really scramble things up. I once had a re-occurring nightmare where I was standing still and holding a .44 Magnum hand gun. All of a sudden thousands of human beings began running towards me. The runners were all armed and looked very dangerous, but when they got near me, all I had to do was hold the pistol at the ready and every one of them would veer off and go by. EXCEPT for this one dude, who would race towards me, carrying one of those medieval long swords. I'd point the pistol at him, but he would never stop until I would decide that the only way I could keep from being decapitated was to shoot him About the time the dude was swinging the sword and I cocked the pistol, I would always wake up. About drove me nuts. Anyway, good luck and sweeter dreams. Write on... |

Hey Everyone and thanks for the responses! Hekler, that's exactly how this one felt! It seems to take a darker turn when dreams/nightmares shift scenes like that. Have you heard of this YouTuber called ShroudedHand? In one of his videos, he highlights a voicemail left by a friend on an answering machine that is completely creepy but is very much like what you are describing. It seems it struck a nerve in most viewers because most everyone commented on that particular one. Hey Larry, haha, don't have rent to pay but I could see the HOA types being that way! Kronk, thanks for commenting on my weird dreams! We can come up with some crazy ones, right? I've got a few more that I'll try to post up from my journal I keep. |
