Date: 9/25/2022 1:27:00 PM From Authorid: 55251 You may be overestimating the prudence of humans. I remember reading about the parachuting pioneer Franz Reichelt. While he did indeed test his parachutes first - many tests failed. So, naturally he decided to jump off the Eiffel Tower with his failed parachute to prove it worked. It didn't. He died. |

...imagine being the person just before the guy that learned how to parachute. |

...I see that Morphix has already visited that scenario. |

...did anyone else here, as a kid (being specific here so as not to make Hey Larry feel ashamed), ever tie a towel around their neck like a cape to pretend that they were SuperDuperMan and jump off the sofa, knowing that the towel invokes magical flying powers and land on your face? |

You know, I cannot prove it but Hekler is quite a dare-devil and it would not surprise me if he would volunteer for such a project. But, they probably did practice for that type of experiment before trying a human or animal. Safe practices leads to better results! |

^^^Hekler probably on many occasions, not only in childhood but currently, pushes the envelope to see how far he can go before he places another order to the “ ACME COMPANY so he can stop The Roadrunner from taunting him over and over…o |

"L.D. here: I got kronk into sky-diving a few years back. kronk---What do you mean, you "got" me into sky-diving? You pushed me out of the airplane. "L.D."---hehehe.. He had to wrap himself up in the parachute when he landed, `cause he soiled his drawers. kronk---Ugh! |
Date: 9/25/2022 6:38:00 PM From Authorid: 55251 Hekler, while I was rambunctious at times and certainly wore a towel-cape, I can't say that's ever happened to me. Just how many times did you hit your head as a child? |

...Morphix...I hit my head more times than I can count (never was good at math) but in the long run, it gave me bionic powers. |
Date: 9/25/2022 8:00:00 PM From Authorid: 5940 Hekler failed to mention that he’s been tricked numerous times into running off a steep cliff while attempting to catch The Road Runner and merely assumed that he had bionic powers. That and The ACME Company went bankrupt because of various lawsuits due to faulty equipment and manufacturing defects. |

"L.D."---What's that? kronk---Cognac. "L.D."---That stuff will pickle your head, man. Try some of this. kronk---What's that? "L.D."---$3.99 (American) Moscatel "kronk---My dog. |
Date: 1/20/2023 8:42:00 PM From Authorid: 23963 That actually is a good thought, 74. I now have to go look to see who the first person who was the first to parachute jump was. I bet it was a thrilling and frightening experience at the same time. |
