Date: 8/27/2022 6:25:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 Fallin Angel Good to read you, again. Congrats on your "gym rat" status. Whatever it takes, is what I say, and if you enjoy, then that is good, too. I'm working out in the marshes, hauling crab pots. I must admit that I end up smelling terrible, but it washes off at the end of the day and I feel good, afterwards. Take care of you and write on..... |

Wow, it sure is great to see you back here again. I'm so glad to hear that the cancer was taken care of and your being checked regularly. It sounds a bit like the kind of thyroid cancer that is extremely rare, but that has struck so many people in my family including me. So sorry to hear of your mother's condition. I certainly will include her in my thoughts and prayers. Huge congrats in your weight loss and fitness challenge. I'm sure you feel so much better now. You will have to tell us about some of your travels. With the current state of things, we are traveling a lot less these days, but love to hear of people who do travel. |

@ Kronk: Nice to see you around! I bet you still get a good work out in out in the marshes despite not smelling like a bouqet of roses, lol! Glad it feels good and that's all that matters. @ Ginger: I'm so sorry you had to go thru thyroid cancer, just about over an hour ago my friend was saying his wife goes in for a biopsy tomorrow for thyroid cancer. Did they remove your thyroid? @ Hey Larry: Wishing you good health right back at you - glad to see you around still. Take care of yourself! |
Date: 8/31/2022 11:35:00 AM From Authorid: 998 Yep, they removed my thyroid and a couple of parathyroids. That was the only treatment available for this very rare form of cancer. Radiation and chemo do not work for it. The good news is that all the studies said that my stage of cancer had a life expectancy of 10 years. That would have put my passing in 2004, and as you can see ... I'm very much alive and healthy. I believe having a positive attitude, a loving relationship with family and friends and eating healthy foods helped a great deal. |

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, but I am thankful she has you for support. I'm wishing you both the best. Hope to see you back here again. |
Date: 9/2/2022 9:33:00 PM From Authorid: 52489 Cancer doesn't run in my family, but I got a glioblastoma in my brain. I'm in the middle of chemotherapy right now. Cancer doesn't care who it strikes. But the way you survive it with others who care. Good luck, and if you need to talk, let me know. |
