"Tomato Flu"

What's up, dog? You look like you're deep in thought.

"L.D."---I am wondering if I need to worry about "the latest" plague.

kronk---Which plague is that?

"L.D."---The "tomato flu."

kronk---Do you eat tomatoes?

"L.D."---Naw, man! I'm a carnivore. I eat a few peas and carrots, if they're well mixed in with my dog chow, but tomatoes, no way.

kronk---Well, you should be ok, then. Are you worried that you may contract "the Monkey Pox?"

"L.D."---I haven't eaten a monkey in about forty-five years.

kronk---Monkey meat has an incredibly long "half-life," you know.

"L.D."---Gulp...Really?

kronk---hehehe

How it changed my life:

I just planted my fall garden?

...Hey Larry...you should keep yourself better informed.
The tomato flu is infecting children in India.

What this means to you as an American is that you are now
free to malign and attack anyone with an Indian ancestry.

Does that make anything clearer?

Date: 8/27/2022 12:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    Darn, I was really looking forward to another Veggie Tales movie.

...probably something more along the lines of "Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale" considering your refined tastes.

Date: 8/27/2022 4:03:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry When I ventured out into the world, (at age 42) folk kept telling me that tomatoes were a member of the nightshade family and that they were deadly
poison. I had been eating tomatoes, in all shapes and forms, for a very long time, so I decided to eat ten pounds of tomatoes and see what happened.

"L.D."---Alright, alright, I'll play along. What happened?

kronk---I got a mouthful of tiny ulcers and a pretty bad heartburn, but I didn't die.

"L.D."---That's not funny.

kronk---It wasn't meant to be funny.

"L.D."---Ugh! What about the tomato flu?

kronk---It's in India.

"L.D."---So, what was the reason for your post?

kronk---I was bored and couldn't think of anything constructive to post.

"L.D."---Ugh!

Date: 8/27/2022 4:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    Being a fan of The 3 Stooges, I never had to resort to watching violent cartoons like Tom & Jerry. I have standards.
Date: 8/27/2022 4:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    I like tomatoes too Kronk. They make an impressive statement at dinner theater shows starring tv stars from 20 to 30 years ago.
Date: 8/27/2022 5:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry "L.D." here: Man, your comment about the tomatoes and old movie stars went straight to kronk's head! He kept asking me, "What did Hey Larry mean by
that?" To which I kept replying, "Isn't it obvious?" (and left it at that) He couldn't find anything online, so he is gone to the public library and
I'm about to call a pack of my coyote friends, to bring over some cheap wine and dried rabbit. We gonna parta' tonight! Thanks, man

Kronk---(at the public library) What "did" he mean by that? Ugh!
