"What if?".....kronk

Oh, nothing much. You?

"L.D."---too hot to do much of nothing,
ugh!

Me---How about a little "what if?"

"L.D."---Sure. Go!

What if we all really did love one another?

Life and love and smiling faces, all around.

"Real" problem solving groups, meeting, sister, brother.

The difference between a mountain, a mole hill and a mound?

What if we could all just reach some sort of understanding?

Put away the guns and knives; brandish our smiles.

Apathy, sympathy, dignity, emotion; notwithstanding-

We're all different, yet all the same, across the miles.

What if I could read your mind

and you could read mine?

I wonder what treasures we might find?

Interesting idea. Here, have another glass of wine.

Date: 7/8/2022 7:39:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry "He" gets that way when he drinks too much wine. He made a batch of wine, himself, `cause he says the cheap muscatel gives him gas.

kronk---That's right, Hey Larry. I found the coolest little plants called "mock strawberries." The wine tastes great and makes me tingle all over.

"L.D."---That's not "mock strawberry." It's poison ivy and you're not tingling; you're itching.

kronk---Ugh!

Date: 7/9/2022 7:21:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry I've always enjoyed "dabbling" in home remedies, drafts and potions. You know; things like that.

"L.D."---So, what you're saying is you're a witch?

kronk---No way, dog. I just enjoy trying to help folks out.

"L.D."---Oh, I see. You're a "humanitarian?"

Kronk---Yeah; there you go.

"L.D."---I remember a security guard who had heart murmurs. What was it that you "administered" in that instance?

kronk---I forget, exactly what I gave him, but I do know that he no longer has trouble with heart murmurs.

"L.D."---Oh! I remember! You gave him something called "railroad bind weed," and while that stuff did indeed cure his heart murmurs, the man has not had a bowl
movement in eighteen weeks.

kronk---There are "always" side effects.

"L.D."---Ugh!

Date: 7/9/2022 7:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    There’s nothing like good ol’ fashioned home remedies. Why I will admit to you that my very favorite character on the classic t.v. show, The Beverly Hillbillies, was Granny. I have a feeling that her recipes and cure alls would have made medical history! ( most important would be her “ rhuematiz mixture) However, I feel our Pharmecutical industry would have put the kibosh on it……
Date: 7/9/2022 6:42:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry I figure that when I hit 66,000,074 years, I'm going to backslide and do all the things that I used to do, but am too paranoid to do, these days,
because I'm afraid I'll run out of brain cells.

"L.D."---That makes no sense at all.

kronk---I know, dog; but you gotta' have "something" to look forward to.

"L.D."---Wow! That was "almost" profound.
