Update for my USM friends:
As you all must know, I went through brain surgery several months ago. My recovery has been good, but about 25% of the tumor remains. It cannot be removed without possibly leaving me a quadriplegic. As a result, I’ve now entering my second week for the wearing the Optune Novocure. It’s an electronic device which bathes my head in a steady stream of electricity which immobilizes or destroys the tumors still in my head.
My week is now measured in bits and pieces. For two and a half days I wear this electronic backpack which zaps my head. Then, I get an 8-hour vacation where I am free of the device and the electrode helmet. That’s the best part!
But after that, my wife applies the electronical webbing and another 2.5 days begins.
My family and friends tell me my speech is improving. I can even type better, as I you can see.
I feel very lucky that I have this resource. I've emailed with a man who's been using for five years. Before its invention, his doctors told him he had about a year!
