Well, there’s one thing that I will say about bugs in general. They serve a purpose on this planet. Imagine a dung beetle without having any dung to roll around. What if a tick had no blood to suck….hey, what if politicians…never mind. Where was I ? Oh… earthworms dig the soil. Oh yeah…did you know that when it comes to mosquitoes….it’s the female’s that are attracted to drilling for blood? Coincidence? But I digress….l |
Date: 5/21/2022 6:19:00 AM From Authorid: 55251 That's a tough one. Firstly, not all insects sleep (as far as we are aware). So, the ones that don't sleep likely don't dream, unless day dreaming counts? But, we don't know if any animal besides humans can day dream. We also don't know for certain if any animal dreams, but we have some evidence which suggets they do. As for insects, we may never know. It's difficult enough to determine if they even sleep. Plus, dreaming is generally thought of to be done by some interesting brain processing including REM sleep, which insects would not be able to do. |

...looking at this from another perspective, would bugs then also be prone to nightmares? It wakes up screaming after a vivid scene of a car windshield rushing towards it. |
