Foods with invisible names?

Hey everyone!

In my continuing mission to daydream and meander, I got to thinking about the days of our youth.
Most of us have aged at least two or three years since we first felt the draw of USM so I'd ask if
you would please tap into your memory banks and reply to this important survey.

Theoretical scenario:

You're just s dumb kid right?
Hey! There's some cookies on the counter!
You eat said cookies.

Someone is heard yelling...HEY! WHO ATE MY COOKIES?

This was an example of food that has some kind of invisible name on it in some way.

My question(s) then is/are:  Did anyone ever have that food in your house? Theirs and theirs
alone unless they felt sorry for you and tossed you a taste once in that blue moon cycle?

Did dad have a lockdown on the cheese curds?

Did that mean sister take all the good chocolates first
before you got to take your pick?

Describe some beatings you took for the cause.

Date: 3/14/2022 6:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Well, it’s a very painful memory I have. Every trick or treat season I brought home what I consider a bounty of chocolate candy that I worked hard to gather through intel from the other neighborhood kids , sometimes pressing my luck by staying out longer than my parents allowed.

This was my candy, yet some older sibling always managed to pilfer half of my booty.

...they could have taken it all. Quit your whining.

...my dad had control over the potato chips and the cheese curds.
If you behaved yourself and didn't make too much noise during the
hockey game, you might get a taste OR, on an especially generous
day, a sampling of both!

My uncle had a close eye on his dill pickles. I think he counted
them because he always knew when we hit his stash.

satisfied with my allotted portion of the chicken. (I got the neck and gizzard.)

"L.D."---Ugh! "Cordial," you say? All I ever got was the bones and "you all" always tried to hit me with `em!

Date: 3/15/2022 5:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Alright, alright. Whenever it was my mothers turn to host a Bunco night with friends we children were herded off to our bedrooms for the evening. But beforehand we were tasked with setting up the card tables and bowls of goodies…..which we were never allowed to sample.

Satisfied?

Date: 3/15/2022 5:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Hey L.D., did you ever “ roll da bones?”
Date: 3/15/2022 5:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry "L.D." here: Nope. I never "rolled the bones," but I crunched the bones of everything from field mouse, to duck-billed platypus, to old horse.

kronk---Yep, We had eclectic taste.

"L.D."---Talk about! They even ate animals that had no bones.
