Hey USM friends!
The surgery was a success.
I知 back home after three days in the hospital, and I知 getting around the house with a cane. The walker the hospital issued me has been put in the garage in in lieu of a relapse. Hopefully that won稚 happen.
The surgery team was great, and they told me they were able to get 90% of my tumor out of my head. Now we wait for the pathologist report on my tumor. My surgeon expect that I will get receive radiation and chemotherapy at a local facility. If fact, my chemo pills can be taken at home, so I won稚 have to do go to a hospital except for the radiation.
I知 now on the state rolls as a person of disability and will probably remain one for the better part of a year.
The school where I have been teaching is now looking for a long-term substitute to cover me while I heal.
The road ahead looks to be a long one, but I知 confident I can make it. My wife has been wonderful. I never would have been gotten anywhere without her. I love her so much.
Thank you all for your prayers.
