Hekler "L.D." here: Cats actually do make good snipers. Excellent vision, both day and night, extremely pliable, with the ability to meld into a weapon, such as the "JR-15," maddingly patient, and possessing virtually "zero" remorse. I certainly would not want those crosshairs resting on me. kronk---That may be so, but all you have to do is attach a four foot cord, with a small, fuzzy, stuffed mouse toy on the end of it and the cats will open fire on it, every time, thereby enabling the solider to escape. "L.D."---Where "do" you get this stuff? kronk---It was in the handbook entitled: "How to avoid assassination," by R.M. Nixon. |

...L.D....you're right about cats always being on the alert and watchful. Kronk also has made a valid point about them being easily distracted too. All the Russians need to do is find one of those laser pointers and the cat will be climbing the wall. |

...Hey Larry...you should feel fortunate that your cat knows where you keep it's food and that you had a good supply on hand. The alternative would have been an "accidental" fall down the stairs as the kitty showed you so much affection by curling around your legs. Which also brings to mind another way to distract a cat - just rev up that electric can opener. |

Hekler Yes, indeed. A laser pointer drives them crazy. "They" issued me one of those and I had great fun with the thing. In the daytime, during warm months, I messed with the jumping spiders that were thick on the bricks of my building. The bricks had to be at least a hundred degrees and those spiders loved it. They responded to the laser dot, beautifully and would chase it all over. At night, it was the geckos. They thought "the dot" was something to eat, I guess and wpuld knock each other off the wall, to get to it. Ahhhhh, life's simple pleasures. |
