Laying side by side
I look into your eyes
Bathed in morning sunlight
Wanting to reach out to hold you
Like I use to do
But paralyzed by forces unknown
Last night we shared laughs
And talked like we did long ago
Feelings stirred up inside myself
Missing you, wanting to kiss you
But I stayed there in my chair
Complacent and numb
Why am I here?
What is this?
I know this will lead to hurting myself
With empty thoughts of grandeur

In that bed it felt like we were miles apart
My heart started to sink in realization
This wasn't a begining to the next chapter
This was the end of everything
