Hey Larry’s JOTW #69

Recent events in Ottawa, Canada have been deemed an “ illegal occupation “ by the Mayor and he has declared a state of emergency. I hope to bring a little levity to the going’s on there by dedicating the JOTW and hope they get back on the road.

Ready? And here we go!

1. What's the occupation that has the most likely hood of putting people in the hospital?

A paramedic.

2. What's your occupation, and how's it going?

Librarian.

It's hard to have a social life. I'm always booked.

3. I've started working as a waiter.

The pay isn't much, but at least I can put food on the table.

4. I was laid off today.

Don't worry, it's an occupational hazard. ( the tips weren’t that great anyway)

Date: 2/12/2022 7:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry Nice attempt. I appreciate that you "do" try and look on the bright side. I heard that Trudeau is calling Biden for advice on how to handle the problem. Without getting "overly" political, I will only say, "Stock up on groceries and toilet paper." Riot on.......
Date: 2/12/2022 7:43:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    LOL! Kronk, as always your replies are welcome. The main issue is what to occupy without being brainwashed do so. Having said that, are you careful about the things you flush down your toilet? Asking for a friend…

Date: 2/12/2022 1:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    It’s always good to have goals in life. Why just the other day Hekler lamented to me in a private message how he regretted not taking advantage of the dual citizenship that was once available between our two nations. Now, his goal is to become King of the World!

Date: 2/12/2022 4:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry "L.D." here: I'm so embarrassed when friends come over. Back about twenty five years ago, kronk started complaining about his water bill being too high. So, he goes out and buys one of those 1 1/2 gallon flush toilets. He said he would save lots of money on his water bill. Well, the thing never did work right and anyone using the toilet had to flush two, or three times, to get rid of the waste, bringing water consumption back to pre 1984 rates. Instead of spending money on a more efficient toilet, kronk chose to place a 5 gallon bucket filled with water, nearby. Ugh! Then, he takes a permanent marker and writes on the bucket: "If you lay a goat head in the toilet, use this to send it on it's way..Please refill bucket!"
Date: 2/13/2022 3:04:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    L.D.,, imagine the pictures in my head after the scenario that you’re described. I do hope that Kronk was very specific about what to refill the bucket with. When I have guests over I rent a porta-john as My bathroom is a temple.
Date: 2/13/2022 5:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry Man, I can totally agree with the bathroom / temple comparison. One of my cousin's children went into my head and came out flicking my emergency switchblade. I keep it taped to the bottom of the tank; just in case. Kids...Ugh!

"L.D."---Yeah, the little punk tried to notch my right ear.

Date: 2/13/2022 7:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Hmmmmmmm, like that scene from The Godfather, only with a switchblade. I’ll keep that in mind next time them neighborhood pranksters tip over my rental porta-John.
