She's just someone I used to know in a time so long ago.
It may as well have been back a hundred years.
She always was so sweet and I was happy to not feel free.
I had nothing left to lose but my tears.
Years went rolling on and then one night she was gone.
No goodbyes as the angel disappeared.
Now I don't mind so much, I'm not the man who's soul she touched.
And as I recall I no longer have such fears.
And the world keeps spinning round, it's something lost that can't be found.
Because I was the only one who really felt that way.
When they ask me how things were, I no longer think of her.
Because she is just someone I used to know.

I would like to know how life has been for her and her new friends.
But I will not lose any sleep as much has moved on.
She will remain in my heart but not the way she was from the start.
I can not save memories of a life that's gone.
And the world keeps spinning round, it's something lost that can't be found.
Because I was the only one who really felt that way.
When they ask me how things were, I no longer think of her.
