Blame Hey Larry's JOTW #64 for this One ~Ginger~

We used to have quite a few families of raccoons that would frequent our deck. Yep, we brought the cute little bandits in on purpose. We started by feeding the chickadees, which in turn told the squirrels, who then told the blue jays, who told the owls ... and then the racoons came to dinner.

Anyways, one day 2 of the masked bandits came to our deck, but instead of looking for dinner, they brought their own scrumptious Frisbee rabbit. Took us a few minutes to determine what the flattened blob originally had been.

The cute ones left it behind as they toddled off into the night. I think it was their way of offering us a thank you gift for all the bird seed and peanuts they had enjoyed on our deck.

Since we weren't going to partake, George did what you do with a Frisbee rabbit. Pick it up (trusty mechanics gloves on), wind up like a spring, and let it sail out into the forest. Plenty of coyotes, owls and other things in the trees to finish off the squished cuisine.

Date: 12/27/2021 8:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 19772    Ha ha. That's cute that they were at least kind enough to try and give you a present back. Very kind of them.
Date: 12/28/2021 8:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    Ginger Loved it, lady. Seems to me that the raccoons were trying to set up a barter session. Obviously, they enjoyed the food that you left for them and were bringing something that they valued, in order to keep the feed going.

"L.D."---Hiya, Ginger! Kronk became ill, writing about the road kill rabbit. (He has a ridiculously sensitive stomach.) I, on the other hand, have an affinity for fresh, or stale, for that matter, roadkill rabbit.

kronk---RALPH.....Would you please stop talking about it. I'm feeling sick, again.....RALPH....Ugh!

"L.D."----"Don't dodge `em...Run em` over! Back on up and do it, again! I'll be by in a day, or two."

kronk---RALPH...Ugh! You are disgusting...RALPH..

"L.D."---That's just my game.

kronk---Hey, Ginger. You want a dog?

Date: 12/29/2021 2:37:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 998    Yep Kronk, I'm sure they are smart enough to see the bartering situation in a perfectly good Frisbee rabbit.

Enjoyed the banter my friend ... as always !!!
