I saw a man and his girl going down Davie Rd. He was riding on a bike, she was running on her soles. I was just amazed as to what some folks will tolerate. That was someone's little girl but she'll be a lamb to his hate. Noone understands that other people have problems too. That don't stop to think of what others might have gone through. Some get the luck of life and some get the luck of strife. But we are all vulnerable to teachings of wasted times. The pendulum swings and I love my soul. It's the one thing that I have had that I have never sold. The pendulum swings like a sickle. Cutting us free from the times of when we are controlled. I saw an old man sleeping on the sidewalk. He got too drunk to make it home so he layed on a rainbow of chalk. It started raining, he started groaning. He asked me for money to get food, I gave him the scowl of knowing. But I did not say a word, I'm not in his shoes. He is someone's little boy and someone else's father too. But we have choices that we must make as our time speeds away. And his choice is just a sad, sad shame. The pendulum swings and I love my soul. It's the one thing that I have had that I have never sold. The pendulum swings like a sickle. Cutting us free from the times of when we are controlled.
