Zema  Aww Lawdy! I'm a likin' that, yeah! Flashed me back to one particular "time on the back bay," when I was freshly graduated from high school. There was this catwalk that spanned the river bottom and terminated at a lovely deep water bay. The platform at the lake shore stood about eighteen feet above the surface of the water. Yours truly was basking in the summer sun and watching power boats motoring by.Well, one of those boats stopped directly opposite my position and the loveliest, long haired, dark skinned, cajun girl stood on the foredeck and began brushing her hair. Needless to say, the effect this had on me was immediate and I felt compelled to perform a jack knife (dive) off the platform. I bailed off the platform and, if I do say so myself, that was the best jack knife I've ever done in my life. When my head broke the surface, the first sound I heard was that long haired beauty shouting her approval..... I have not thought of that time in many years, sister. Thanks for the trigger. Right on....  |
