CHEESY TACO PASTA SHELLS

1/2 pound large or medium shell pasta
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 packet taco seasoning
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup water or beef broth
1 cup jarred salsa
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Cook the shelled pasta according to the directions on the box and drain, set aside.

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, oil and the diced onion while chopping and stirring until it is completely browned.

Drain the fat, add add the taco seasoning, and 3/4 cup of water or beef broth. Stir and cook until liquid is almost gone.

Add the pasta back into the pot with the salsa, cheese and cream cheese. Stir to combine and make sure its heated through.

Top with sour cream if desired.
