~Night of a Blue Moon~
Kiss placed so gentle upon lips so sweet
Tender looks of love in a passing glance
Each time we meet
You are the impossible dream
Tall dark & handsome
Blue eyes, brown….maybe green
Like my own
I’ve heard it said
Our eyes are the mirrors of our soul
If You knew
What was deep within this heart
Would You hold me close………
Or…….simply let me go
Like a well spring
Within deep waters hidden
Are truths without exception
Vulnerabilities……Strength
Façade non existent
Without pretense
deception
Many search for true love
Elusive so it seems
Or so they believe
What would you do
If you found love
Is it so easy to recognize
Are You listening with Your heart
Or are You watching closely with your eyes
Would you know
A gift, its beauty rare
Both a fiery brilliant jewel
Soft as the petal of a flower
An answer to a Prayer
Who are you…….
While I dream
Aboard tall sailing ships
With the wind & fragrance of the sea
Sun setting on the horizon………in the distance
The echoes of a rich hearty laughter….persistent
Lone horse & rider high upon a hill
He turns slightly….pausing to wave
Silhouette against a sky of polished steel
When hearing a whistle through rain & smoke
The rumbling sound that a locomotive makes
Sudden ringing of a telephone
The silence…..it breaks
Step onto the porch
Boards creak beneath my feet
Here in the quiet
Shooting star quickly races
Across midnight blue of the sky
As a magical moon casts its shimmering light
Shadows fall……across old wooden boards
As the gentle breeze from the wind
Seems to whisper your name once more………
