"Sunny & Hot".....kRoNk

I have a little poem for "YOU!"

L.E.D.---Must you be so LOUD!

Me---It's this awful heat.

L.E.D.---DON'T LET IT GET TO YOU! BE STONG!

Me---You're doing it, TOO!

L.E.D.---I'm ready for AUTUMN!

Me---YEAH! ME, TOO!

Hot wind rolling in from somewhere beyond a barrier island-

Smells like seaweed, sweat and 5.5 SPC, dollar store sunblock.

No clouds, no shade, today. No hat? Have you considered fryin'?

Linen-finished gingham, high thread count; maybe a frock?

Water, clear as gin-

Yellow tail fishes-

It'll be ok; come on in.

Go on, take her hand, and bring the Missus.

Ice cold aloe vera for that sunburn?

A pretty wrap? When the sun goes down, it's cold.

"Booze fairy" recommends tequila. You can even eat the worm.

1200 watts! Wow! Now that's a daisy chain! If it's too loud, you may be too old.

About 11:00 PM, "The Music's Over." We may be freaks, but we ain't crass.

C'mon round the fire. Find someone you can stand, and settle down.

"Unplugged" version of kum ba ya. Everybody sings, here. We all got class.

The moon is up. The fire's out. All is quiet. Another summer, `bout gone.

...Kronk...I think I have a slight grasp on what you're saying here.

I've been feeling a lot like writing an ode to sitting in the shower under the coldest spray available.
I'm sure that you've got it pretty steamy where you are but I'm a sissy and can't take the heat or learn
to get out of the kitchen.

If you send a SASE, I'll send you some REAL Canadian snow when it first makes an appearance. Shouldn't be long.

Date: 8/21/2021 7:28:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hekler I am seriously considering migrating away from this awful heat. 110 degree heat index has put a serious damper on my activity level. Dawn and dusk is about the only time I feel like opening the door. I was out in it all day, today. Working at removing the bed on my truck. (busted fuel pump) I'd like to have a "serious" talk with the folk that design these vehicles.

Anyway, tomorrow I get to put the bed back on and Monday, get back to hustling crab in the marshes. I may try and get "Nancy P." to adopt me. I could always give her a foot massages. (It's this heat!)
