Interesting theory. My take on all of this has to do with a shadow agency in the Great White North with a poser that feels he was slighted-by a higher life form that supposedly came from a missing link. He currently sits in a tree house eating banana purée while contemplating hoe the postal service manages to function amid all that goes on in the world.  |

Not answering questions the more money you have is a rite of passage. I personally believe that these so-called underground tunnels and shelters are the manifestation of the world's ultimate man cave. Discrete beer and sports for the rich. Maybe some fancy doodads and weird pay-to-play/win betting games. That being said, is there a numerical value for "filthy rich" or is this some arbitrary assumption of "you have more money than I deem appropriate therefore you are filthy rich/sociopath/psychopath?" - the last two of which are a spectrum of behaviors and not a binary observation in human behavior.  |

...I don't think he's elite or rich but Hey Larry was recently telling me about how he flushed out his septic system and turned his tank into a hideaway in case of a Mexican invasion of the United States. I really didn't have the heart to tell him that the Mexicans had already invaded and the cause has been lost. Still, if you're looking for a unique experience that includes the scent of old fecal matter, drop by his place and ask for a guided tour. Bring some quarters. He has some great old pinball games down there (or so he says).  |

Gee Hekler, you never complained before when you had free access to the place. I understand that it was your idea of being “ filthy “ rich, and btw, those weren’t apples you were bobbing for. I wasn’t worried about an invasion either as the folks from south of the border inhabited the area long before Manifest Destiny became a popular fad. Besides, the wall was never completed,and never will. |

Darth Maul 85  Welcome to USM. Money, money, money and all it's associated evils. "The more you got, the more you want and eventually, you think that your opinion actually matters." I forgot where I heard that. Ugh. Maybe, I didn't, I dunno?Anyway, I do not resent people just because they are wealthy. I actually know a couple of folks who have way more money than they need. They help their fellow humans every now and again and don't act like are any different from the rest of us. As a rule, I do not care much for humans who consider themselves "elite." Brings to mind a line from a song by an artist called "Jewel."....."People are living their lives for you on t.v...They say they're better than you and you agree." (Who will save your soul?)  |
