WE ARE MOVING AGAIN....PA

Hello All:

This is a ongoing story...

My husband needs a heart and liver transplant. We moved to Philadelphia area to have it done in 2018. He's had a couple hospital stays for various reasons. but not to have the transplant surgery.  In September 2020, he was in the hospital to wait for an organ donor and to get fluid weight off of him. He lost about 40 pounds while in the hospital. Well in January, we found out that they had some bad outcomes for double transplant patients in my husband's situation. They decided it was too risky and they didn't want him to be the next bad outcome. So they decided to recommend us to Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. We went down there a couple months ago for his evaluation. We waited and waited. Finally we heard that he was accepted, but they had to figure out the financial aspect of transplant costs (everything comes down to money). So we heard that we could live in Kentucky and still get treated at Vanderbilt. So this past week we came down to Kentucky to search for an apartment. Well we found one and tentatively we are moving to Kentucky at the end of July. I really hope that he gets the organs soon. We haven't felt "normal" in over 3 years. We just want to get back to our lives in Washington state. We miss everything. We could use some prayers (if you do that).

Just wanted to update y'all.

So does anyone here live in Kentucky or Tennessee? We could possibly meet up.

Thanks y'all! Love & Hugs! GBU!
