Chris-3 I love dreams with mysterious, unidentifiable women in them. I don't know, it's like, you wake up and try to go back to sleep and hit the "continue" button, but that never works. (for me, anyway) Grasshoppers are indeed sinister looking. I used to watch them eating grass. Reminded me of a miniature cow. I often dream about having conversations with my dog. Whatever. I enjoyed reading your account. We need distractions. Thanks for posting and write on....... |

Thanks for the response, Kronk! I used to have a reoccurring dream with varying scenarios but would always have a girl that was with me that I could never clearly see her face but she had long black hair and was close to me emotionally so I'm with you in that those are enjoyable dreams. I really wish there was a pause or continue function to dreams, that would be great! I think I've posted some of those here also if I'm not mistaken. The grasshopper reminded me of a dream I had years back where I had seen an old neighborhood friend in the dream but his demeanor changed to a sinister look as I was looking at him. I enjoyed looking and studying bugs and their habits/lives and still do when I find the time. Do you remember what the conversations are you have with your dog are regarding? I'm curious because I've had conversations (in dreams) with animals (pets from past and present) before and in some cases, they were hilarious while others were heartbreaking. Thanks again! |

Chris-3 My dog, or perhaps I should say, "the dog" is a red Australian Heeler. To be honest, I do most of the talking. Sometimes, he will bark and yelp with feeling, when I say certain words. I take him for walks, twice daily, in rural areas and he seems to get off on chasing other animals like birds, rabbits, etc. He really is a good companion, although he doesn't always pay attention to me, when I speak. For the most part, I talk baby talk to him and tell him what a good dog he is and sometimes, I unload my concerns and problems on him. He seems to take it all in stride. I do know one thing, though, having a pet anything, is quite a responsibility. "L.E.D." (Light Emitting Diode) is quite the trip, but I love the little mugger. I can't remember ever dreaming that I talked to an animal, but that's an interesting idea. Take it easy and write on...... |

Dogs really are a blessing. They will listen (for the most part) and still jump and play even after you've poured your heart out to them. I had a bizarre recall while I was reading your response in that I remembered I was having a dream where I was talking to a reptile of some kind but it looked like it was ancient and the landscape in the dream was wild and natural like it was a million years ago (Think Land of the Lost). I can remember the animal making a kind of smack and gasping sound like it was such a chore to just converse which struck me as funny but out of nowhere, a train passes by behind us when I was trying to concentrate the most on what this reptile was trying to tell me. I felt a bit frustrated because I didn't want to ask it to repeat itself because of how labored it seemed to be in just talking with me but I asked anyway and the train passed again going the other direction. This time, I remember that it turned to look at the train and then myself and said, "How about if I write it down?" Dreams are certainly odd at times. Thanks! |
