...at least Castlevania lends itself to a decent screenplay. When the movie "Battleship" was first announced, I had a hard time envisioning how they could possibly make that work but in the end, it was a fine portrayal of the game itself. It was stated that the movie was based on the game and true to their word, they did call it "Battleship". I should contact Netflix as I have some amazing scripts just floating around in my head if they are groping for material. The best so far would be based on the board game Checkers. It is a true story about the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. I came up with the idea one day when I was getting mauled in a game and my pieces were very spartan on the board. So I kicked the board off the table and the script began to unfold in my head. I also have an idea loosely based on a dead goldfish I had when I was young but that one is still a work in progress. I'll get back to that one later. |
