...OMG!!! DID I SLEEP THROUGH SATURDAY? (mostly) DID I MISS THE HILARIOUS JOKE OF THE WEEK? (hilarious??) Both handyman tips given are representative of today's culture and one might well wonder how civilization got to this point without both of those 20th century superproducts. Could you imagine how different modern Rome and Greece would look if all those temples and statues hadn't just fallen apart? Of course, in those times, people may have had to rely on the most ancient of all repair techniques...bash it/pound it/kick it. This procedure is timeless and still works. Use it first before reaching for the lubricant or adhedisive tape. |

Is that what happened to you? I thought perhaps you took a redeye to London to attend the funeral of Prince Philip. Your helpful (?) suggestions are tried and true I expect, as you are no doubt very experienced in such matters. Then of course if your are well off or a millennial you could always pay someone else to fix it. |

...Fix things? These days? No, the correct answer for 21st century types is to throw it at a landfill. That's why you see so many lamps in the trash - bulbs burned out. |

...we generally got thrown into the trunk of the car. We were told we were going to visit Uncle Firestone. We were dumb kids and fell for it every time. |
Date: 4/18/2021 7:07:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 Hey Larry I once held a boat trailer together for a year and a half with bailing wire and duct tap. That stuff is good for everything, except eating. Thanks for the flashback. Write on..... |
