~The Cross He bore~
In the garden where roses once grew Jesus knew Why He came bringing salvation
A Glorious King A humble Babe’ in a manger On a mission from God since His birth To all who are lost With the greatest sacrifice of all A most precious Lamb would pay the price
Fashioned into a crown of thorns As great drops of blood came flowing down As they were Placed upon our Savior’s head A lonely tomb became His bed
Crimson red stained the purple robes that Jesus wore A dogwood fashioned into a cruel tree Became the rugged Cross He bore for me Nails were driven into his hands and his feet As He carried the Cross through the street
His side was pierced with a sword As the crowd they yelled, crucify Him! Did they not know this was our Savior and Lord!? In agony, He bled and died for you and for me Like a prisoner, I have been forgiven I am redeemed I have been set free That I might be healed, by the stripes He received When He took my place at Calvary
The lame could walk The blind could now see The miracle at Cana He healed Bartimaeus There in the street Lunch from the basket of a young lad Fed a multitude With 5 Loaves and 2 fishes was all that he had The Leper was clean Because he believed
For God so loved the world Still some denied and said they knew Him not The price He paid on that day To save all of humanity
Oh this Precious Rose of Sharon God’s Only begotten Son How the angels must have cried As all of heaven stood by On that day when there was a hush….a silence There was darkness as the sun stopped shining When the Son of God was crucified!
Without sin Subjected to shame Upon a rugged tree Because of His love He took the blame
We have the Promise We have the hope When On that third day He arose And He’s coming back once again! Keep the faith and of courage------ be strong Keep watching and waiting-------- For it won’t be long..

JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son and whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. JOHN 11:25 Jesus said, I Am the resurrection and the life, whosoever believeth in me though he were dead yet shall he live, and whosoever lives and believes in me will never die. Believest thou this?
