~Rain~
It’s raining
Melting snow on the ground
This cold spring day
There is happiness in the smallest things
I have found
reminding me of all the things I longed to do
Together with you
When suddenly, so unexpected you were called away
A little bird sings its sweet melody
In a frozen tree branch nearby
Redbuds beginning to bloom
Swallows and bluebirds their trill makes the prettiest tune
The loveliness of his song almost makes me want to cry
I would have gave you the world
Even the stars and the moon
heaven and earth, I would have tried to move
Just for you, it’s true
My honey sweetness
How much I love and miss you
Words cannot seem to express
With a love like that, what could possibly be left
I know I have had the very best
No one has ever stood by you,
loving you the way I do
You had said to a friend
With Promise, a love enduring
This love without ending
Through the years
These thoughts of you
Ever sweeter
while our roses bloom in spring
Each day,
I’ll come sit for a while
And still,
The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do
Leaving you
here
With a kiss and a smile
Through the tears
Mingling with the rain
