...I watched portions of the first day hearings and didn't go back to torture myself any more. This is so reminiscent of the old comic book ploy of the existence of multiple universes/dimensions. I can't claim to be impartial about Donald Trump because everything about him is sleazy and his voice makes my skin crawl. You would think that his supporters could see the true person that he is but, as usual, people only see what they want to see and pass off the negative aspects of his persona as strengths for some inexplicable reason. I then watch clips of his drug infused oldest son ranting about how poorly people are treating his daddy in sentences that are only slightly more comprehensible than that of his sire. The darling daughter stays in the background and keeps relatively quiet but that can only be attributed to the fact that she is attempting to run a side scam of her own and wants to place distance between herself and the controversy surrounding dear old dad. I may be deceiving myself when I proclaim to be capable of rational thought and I do enjoy the benefit of being outside the perimeter of all the action so I feel that I can be less affected by political dogma. I do read articles from both sides of the fence so there is an opportunity to make judgement calls. If I see something that could be disputed, I will only investigate further until I have made an opinion by and for myself and will not generally accept any other person's facts as the gospel truth. If I was a partisan voter though, I would be more likely to believe that any accounting of Trump's reprehensible behavior as FAKE NEWS. He has trained and indoctrinated them so well. ...are you trying to tell me that some American politicians don't occasionally "drop the soap" to curry favor with other politicians? I think reality speaks for itself. You yourself have brought up Lindsey Graham and I know that Ted Cruz, Mitch McCriminal and Josh Hawley are not beyond shower carelessness if they stand to profit in any manner afforded by their inability to keep a tight grip. |
