Much of ancient history has been lost to the ages and unless there has been some kind of pictorial or written information
to survive the passage of time, wars and the elemental forces of nature, what is left is merely projection and speculation.

I have recently been reading, or, at least attempting to read, a number of treatises relating to these periods lost to the fogs of history
and on those occasions when deciphering the writings was not beyond the scope of my abilities, there was one area that
quite caught my interest: Warships of the Ancient Greek Goddesses.

There are Biblical accounts of Greek warships but very little along the line of description.

While doing some in-depth research, I was amazed to learn that a recent discovery of ancient amphorae off the
southern coastline of Uganda, many of which contained drawings and photographs of the Greek Goddesses' ships
as well as some pertinent documents regarding these vessels.

I just popped in to USM briefly to make you aware of my continuing quest to unlock the mysteries behind these ships.

All I can leave for you at this moment in time is a few depictions and photos of these floating warriors.

I promise to keep you advised of my findings as more information comes to light.

Thank you for reading!

Where’s Gilligan and the S.S. Minnow? For that matter....what kind of name is Gilligan? Is it of a Greek origin?

...Hey Larry...you are absolutely correct in your belief that the name Gilligan has a Greek connection.

Gilligan is the patronymic version of a male's name honoring the ancient Greek goddess Gilliga while female
children would be appointed with a similar name: Gilligenne.

As for the S.S. Minnow, it was lost in the Bermuda Triangle and was not a warship of the Greek Goddesses.

Date: 2/1/2021 7:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    I am very sad to come to said conclusions. I was certain that I would find Gilligan ( or an impersonator ) plying his wares at Treasure Island in Lost Wages, Nevada. With that being said, I’m off to the roulette tables..l.
