Oh, I Missed It!

TEXARKANA, Ark. — Fouke may not be home for the Fouke Monster Festival this year, but a new venue will host the monster party Saturday.

Held at the Arkansas Convention Center from 9 a.m. to around 6:30 p.m., this year's Fouke Monster Festival includes speakers ready to share their expertise about that infamous creature said to roam the Boggy Creek environs and other Bigfoot-esque monsters of the wild.

A screening of the restored and remastered version of "The Legend of Boggy Creek" with a post-movie Q&A is scheduled, and Fouke Mayor Terry Purvis will give a welcome to the event. Craig Woolheater, founder of the Texas Bigfoot Research Center, said they had to change their plans after intending to hold the festival at the middle school in Fouke. With the COVID pandemic crisis, Fouke wasn't going to work out for the event, he said.

Speakers will talk about new cases and new reports of sightings, he said, as well as other cryptids. "The Legend of Boggy Creek" was scheduled to be shown again at the Perot Theatre this year, but because of COVID those plans were scrapped, he said.

...that's old news. I'd be REALLY frightened if "The Legend of Boggy Creek" in it's
remastered glory depicted a Bigfoot wearing a chef's hat with the letter "P" on it.

Always report walking "P'. It's your civic duty.

Date: 1/28/2021 7:48:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    It's hard to imagine an albino bigfoot, especially wearing a chef's hat. What's next, a tutu and hula hoop?
Date: 1/28/2021 5:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Perhaps I should’ve said finding an albino Bigfoot with a chef’s hat cannot be done in short order?

...it's hard to find albino Bigfoot chefs anywhere these days because of the turnover due to their flakiness.

Date: 1/29/2021 2:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    I live on the Texas side. Every event related to the Fouke Monster is fun. You haven't lived until you get lost exploring around Boggy Creek.

...don't hire a wookie. You'll want someone with a bit of experience.
