Do you know what the purpose of the little toe on either foot is for?

...your mention of my school days brings back so many fond memories.
Learning to tell people lies when they order milk shakes and you tell them the machine is broken when it really isn't.

The gung~ho attitude of the instructors when they tell you that McDonalds is just a stepping stone in your life and that
anything is possible. Why, you might even become President one day.

I tried super glue but the paramedics had to be called when I accidentally attached the
box to my left ear and the other ear became firmly stuck to the mirror.

What a sticky wicket that was, let me tell you!

Date: 1/3/2021 8:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry! Happy New Year! I'm a little late, `cause I went out of town for the holiday. That went pretty well, but the "post" celebration set me back another twenty seven hours. I'm OK, now, though and I figured, "what better way to begin twenty one, than work my head out on one of Hey Larry's finest?" (Is that enough smoke, or what?)

Anyway..."My" answer was technically wrong, I suppose. I thought that the little toe enabled us to cut corners at high speed. Sort of like the "dew claw" on a canine. (I've been in "the company of dogs" for too long, I fear.)

I wish us all the best and deep down in the depths of my heart, feel that we can deal with whatever "they" throw at us. Write on.....

Date: 1/3/2021 11:33:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Kronk, as always it is a pleasure to have your company with the rest of us ne’er do wells. Besides, it’s as if we are the grown up version of “The Outsiders” or perhaps to a lesser degree “ The Goonies”.

Hekler made a post recently regarding the haven that USM has allowed us to be a part of, and I too am great full because of that fact.

I leave you, and Hekler ...perhaps G&G if they so desire, to research a song called “There Is No Beer In Heaven “. You’ll find versions of it on YouTube, mostly polka versions. But if you come across a bluegrass- country version of it ( cannot recall the artist) it is inspiring.

All the best to a tired and weary world.

...then I'm doomed to abstinence.

Date: 1/3/2021 2:28:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Well, like the old saying goes..... abstinence makes heart grow fonder. Or is it fondue?
Date: 1/3/2021 4:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...I once knew a guy that was "a reformed alcoholic".
For him, abstinence meant that he used a lot of mouthwash but forgot to spit it out.
He was so sure that people wouldn't catch on.

Date: 1/6/2021 3:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry I did indeed check out the tune you mentioned and did not find a CW version. I shall keep looking. I do like a cold beer, occasionally, but if I drink more that about seventeen of `em, I usually get a bad headache.

Interesting that you mention "The Outsiders." I guess that I can relate to "Two bit Matthews" more than any of the others. Why? Well, in the distant past, I knew a young lady named "Two Bit" and whenever I watch "The Outsiders" she comes to mind. I like thinking about her, but not too much. I was her "change man" and we had a pretty good thing going, until she dumped me for a dude named "Big Money Griff." But, that is another story, altogether.

I've only ever watched "The Goonies" to hear Cyndi Lauper sing. (I even bought three of the "Cyndi Lauper Barbie Dolls." She reminds me of "Two Bit," back when we were tight.

Take it easy, my brother. I'm headed "up north" for a go go. If I'm not back by inauguration day, it'll mean either one of two things. A) We came out on top and I'm "somewhere" on the Atlantic coast of Florida, neck deep in "Cyndi Lauper Barbie Dolls," or, B) "The worm has turned" and I'm in hiding, "somewhere" on the equator.....tawfī' in ša' allāh
