The bills are due today
And my friends cannot come out to play
Only stale cookies remain in the pantry
There's a bottle of Sangria in the fridge...and an empty glass staring at me
I will pour a drink and salute my boss
And say my prayers to the Guy on the Cross
Looking out the kitchen window there's no one to return my glance
I can't beleive that I am invisible to the people who pass
So...it looks like another night for cookies and Sangria
I will pour two glasses...one for me...and that beautiful girl...named Maria
