(( Hey USM, I am hoping this means I am back for a while at least. I am making changes in my life that will assure me that only God and I have say as to what I can and can not enjoy in life. I have written a ton in my absence but have not had access to getting it typed out and posted so there is a flood a comin'>

Sometimes you turn a page onto another stage.
But there's is a chain that keeps holding on.
You still look like you or at least you think you do.
But the mirror proves that you're wrong.
She has been fading in the air like your thinning hair.
It's there but you don't feel the loss.
Maybe there is a remnant in you, it's in your memory too.
It's that thought on the wall that you tossed.
Sometimes you bring it down and unfold it.
To remember the things that you said.
Sometimes stirring up memories.
That sometimes seem to raise the dead.
The world finally left you behind.
Like you wished that it would way back then.
The players may change but plays stay the same.
And time is not my friend.

Sometimes you see a face in a different place.
That you are pretty sure that you knew.
Then it comes to mind that it was a far gone time.
That the decades have pushed you past and through.
You just want to not care and now you're running scared.
After all has been done and said.
But you can not run away from what she said that day.
It's the death that won't stay dead.
Sometimes you open up your eyes to see it.
Maybe to help you to move on again.
Sometimes even the bad memory.
Can be your best of your long lost friends.
Your world finally left you in your own mind.
Like you wished it would way back then.
You thought you had seen a change but life stayed the same.
Because time is not my friend.

You see a shadow crawl, a photo on the wall.
Of a girl that used to be.
One you had found and lost and you had to pay the cost.
For that long gone, still life memory.
A dream that is only a dream comes to an ending so clean.
Like a crop you can't harvest now.
Too many mistakes were made to think it might have been saved.
Fading to black we don't take bow.
Sometimes you know you have grown too old.
It's so hard to find a true love or friend.
Sometimes you want to steady your eyes in one place.
And celebrate your own journey's end.
Maybe you'll live in your own mind.
Like you had wished you could way back when.
A walk in the rain where no dream stays the same.
And time is not my friend.
What you saw in the wind is just a memory to send.
As time comes crawling to an end.
