CROCKPOT BRUSSELS SPROUTS

1 pound brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon prepared dijon mustard
1 pinch kosher salt
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper


Wash and trim the ends of the Brussels Sprouts and add to a 4 quart or larger slow cooker.

Add the dijon mustard and salt and pepper and toss to coat the sprouts

Cut the three tablespoons butter into pats, and add the pats of butter over the top of the sprouts in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or until the sprouts are cooked to your preferred level of doneness.


Makes 6 servings.

...this sounds good for the most part but that " 1 inch of freshly ground black pepper"
could be a game changer for me. Can this just be an optional ingredient?
