Eyes -SPG-

I fell in love with her when I looked into her eyes and I saw the sky.
And in her eyes I could see thousands and thousands of stars.

Amongst them I noticed the dark that was close to her heart.

And I showed up with this tiny candle providing her with light.

I would fight to protect this candle even in times when I sometimes resented it.

As time does it's thing I paid less and less attention to that flame.

The wick was still flickering, the wax melted away. I tried to save the flame.

Re-molded the candle, but the mood changed. I was looking away too long, didn't notice the stars in the sky were gone.

And where I fell in love is where I died. In the darkness in her eyes.
