Hekler I'm flashing back to one particular incident when I stood on his door step, trying to persuade my high school principal to allow me to take his daughter to an athletic banquet. "She" was in the next room waving her hands and shaking her head, no. How did I know this, you ask? The bedroom door was open and I could see her reflection in the full length mirror. Hey Larry The thing about carnivores is, while they may well devour you, they can sense "real" sincerity. I remember one day, I found myself alone with my great uncle Otto. Uncle Otto rarely spoke at all and after staring at each other for four and a half hours, I figured that I should say something. So, without moving a muscle, I uttered the word, "me," and Otto immediately replied, "dog." My parents came to pick me up seven hours later and I came away feeling, enlightened. That was the only exchange that Uncle Otto and I ever had.......What? So, if there is a moral to that story, I don't know it. "Feeling good is good enough."... na shledanou |

...sorry to be getting back so late Kronk. The ones that got away on me only got away because I was too naive, girl-dumb and caught up in all of my interests at the time. I missed out on at least two good women, one I re-met recently after almost 40 years and the mutual attraction was still there. |

Hekler Old flames, indeed. Some years ago, I went to a class reunion and got to dance with my "dream girl." I was secretly in love with her for about five years, but sadly, whenever I got within six feet of her, I was rendered completely mute. (makes it hard to get anywhere) I professed my infatuation while we danced and she tells me, "why didn't you just say something?" Ugh! Seize the moment, amigo. |
