Spiritual Forces

Sitting and praying for fifteen minutes of the day
There were so many questions that I needed to say
Would you answer me Lord....or just look the other way?
The choices I made led me astray
My life is in shambles and dissaray
Can I just hit pause while I sit here...and sip my cabernet?

The next moment the wine glass hit the floor
I was not prepared for the spiritual forces....that would enter through my door

Without warning the room began to spin
Dizzy and light-headed....I felt the evil withiin

Lord...remove the darkness from my soul
I knew my human body...would pay the toll

The second spin...I felt a powerful...heavy...weight
Was it taking me down somewhere...to decide my fate?

In that instant...I needed to save myself
And remove all the insecurities from my shelf

I jumped up...off my chair
Right then and there
The evil dispersed into thin air
Lord...I was scared
My lost soul you needed to repair

But it was something you already planned
For my guardian angel was born to save this man
With instructions to go forth into the world...and do all you can
To save another's soul...then and only then...will you understand
