I appreciate this post more than you know. I am not a hermit necessarily, I have friends, family but I guess the difference for myself is I prefer to be around those that are fun, witty or for other traits that make one a kindred spirit. Perhaps that is one of the reasons such as you stated, why I find myself coming back here also after all this time. Kudos and thank you.  |

Actually I did find a suitable overpass from which to launch as I refuse to give up my tred-safes....but the darndest thing happened. As I approached ground zero there was this sudden yank at the bottom of my feet which nearly separated my epidermis from by skeletal structure...darn bungee cords! |

Hekler  Moongirl sent me a link to a song she sang. I don't remember what the song was about. (I don't remember lots of things, lately.) What I do remember is how fine Rose's voice was. Yes, I too have been wishing there might be a USM reunion. There seem to be so few people I remember around. As time marches on, and the world becomes more dangerous and divided, we need to be closer in terms of friendship. USM has always been a rock. As it should be.  |

I too would love another reunion. I guess it would have to be virtual, like so many thing these days. At least, back in the day I was able to meet Arion and Hey Larry in person. Can you just imagine ... face to face. Oh one day we can hope to get life back to what it should be again.  |

Arrived on the Scene: 1/8/2002 7:52:31 AM, last logged in 2013 and by then USM was different. I long for the old days of the early 2ks.....when chat was busy all the time and we all had so much fun....I miss it. Glad to be around again  |

...USM could again be what it once was. I find the alternative "site" to be soulless and without the interaction that we remember having here. All we need to do is keep getting the older members to revisit and give them something to react to. As it stands right now, there is so little new content that people may look in, see the same stuff on the main board that was there a month ago and then quietly depart without ever having logged in. Remember how the posts disappeared off the main page after a few hours due the the sheer volume of new material? That was something. A little fresh blood wouldn't hurt either but the younger people may come on, see all of us "oldsters" and quickly move away before they get contaminated with whatever they suspect us of having. Maybe we should all list our ages as teenagers in the bios. |
