I made to wipe away my tear.
It reached into a brass ice chest and
beaned me, with an ice cold beer.

Mercury, dripping into a basin-
The bass guitar goes "ka thump-ka thump."
I cannot move, but my heart is racing.
I'm just one foot shy of being, "over the hump."

Breathe in the miasma.
If you're "really" cool, you may not choke.
Pay no attention to those four horsemen on the far horizon.
They're just out looking for some poke.

("poke"-- is a Hawaiian salad made typically from cubed pieces of raw seafood, such as tuna, marinated with soy sauce and sesame oil and mixed with onions or other ingredients.)
