...companies like this can hire and fire people easily because there is always someone else out there willing to do your job and begin at minimum wage. You are expendable. They also may keep their eyes open for dissenters on social media. Your lack of giving a name wouldn't be much of an impediment to a good investigator. As CP said, you may be better off for the ordeal. If you had stayed for ten years and become upper management, they might have taken out a life insurance policy on you with Wal-Mart as the beneficiary. It has happened. |

Real name or not, the machine knows who you are due to digital fingerprinting and it doesn't keep secrets. Well, it does but only from you. This is the big white capitalistic elephant in the room that we don't talk about and it puts the bread on the constant rotating door of wage slaves' tables. I doubt you were fired because of the covid/post/bonus business - more than likely, after three years the company was tired of greasing this wheel and found an excuse to usher you out under what they consider to be a valid reason to terminate in accordance with company morale. Perhaps this will lead you to a better place of employment. |
