Welcome Autumn!
Good afternoon Angels
Hoping my post finds all doing well as can be expected during these times. Autumn has arrived!...... Some have said it’s the most saddest unusual Fall ever! But, I replied we all need to help, encourage one another through these troubling times Celebrating, enjoying Autumn together!
It’s already been much cooler weather here in Kentucky…warm but not hot during the days, cooler at night. It’s time for campfires, hooded jackets roasted marshmellows I think I will start my Autumn decorating in a day or so. I believe Spring must be my favorite Season of all but I also enjoy gorgeous days and nights of Summer with the sweet evening breezes blowing in on my cabin’s porch..Someone asked, what do you like about Autumn? Everything!..... there’s just something very Special about Autumn too!
Fodder-shocks from the garden harvested corn, enjoy decorating with Indian corn too…….pumpkins, gourds from the pumpkin patch….. Autumn people…scarecrows with painted smiles. All those yummy delicious vegetables brought in at harvest time Apples, apple cider, even apple butter! The fragrance of pumpkin spice...cinnamon, Hot soups, comfort food
The smells & fragrances ……..I think I can smell Autumn in the air a few weeks before its official arrival. Though there is a little sadness with the last blooms of flowers….birds leaving for their annual journey to warmer climates……. And though the days are getting shorter now…..it’s simply a wonderful time of the year. God’s multi colored brush strokes of the leaves on the trees. Vivid blue of the sky this time of the year A photographer & painter’s dream…..
Hoping to take lot’s of photos of the beauty that is Autumn Also do some writing during this time & looking forward to the latest posts from our USMers…… Sharing stories, places & happenings…… I hope to enjoy each passing day before it’s time to bundle up & stay inside for the winter months.
Speaking of, I’m hearing we are expected to have a cold winter with lot’s of snow although I hope predictions are wrong. It seems the cooler days nights have came early this time……but with the hot humidity it’s welcome.
